Risk Assessment

This course is a combination of classroom learning and on site practical application. A small group of 8 - 10 delegates will learn the principles of successful risk assessment and then be challenged to apply their learning on real life activities. The delegates will prepare risk assessments and supporting safe systems of work.

The delegates will be assessed at the end of the day by sitting a multi-choice question paper. They will also receive a self-completion workbook, to be filled in at the workplace to help improve the working environment. Successful candidates will receive a certificate of achievement.

Manual Handling

This course provides a combination of classroom learning and practical assessment. Delegates will learn about the injuries sustained when incorrectly handling heavy or bulky items and the anatomy of the back. The course is aimed at finding solutions but also demonstrates good practice manual handling techniques.

The delegates will be assessed at the end of the day by sitting a multi-choice question paper. They will also receive a self-completion workbook, to be filled in at the workplace to help improve the working environment. Successful candidates will receive a certificate of achievement.

Occupational Health

This classroom course uses videos, Powerpoint and workshops to improve your employees understanding of the health effects associated with noise, dust and vibration. We explore how the body is harmed and what control measures need to be put in to place to reduce exposure.

Incident Prevention

This course examines the causes of incidents in the workplace and encourages delegates to explore who incidents effect ultimately and why it is important to stop them happening.

The course culminates in a multi-choice question paper to test the delegate's knowledge and they will receive a self-completion workbook, to be filled in at the workplace to help improve the working environment. Successful candidates will receive a certificate of achievement.

The course goes on to explain how best to deal with events when they occur and how to maximise learning for all concerned.

The course concludes with a multi-choice question paper to test the delegate's knowledge and understanding. Candidates will receive a workbook that is completed back in the workplace that will help to improve their working environment. The successful candidates are presented with a certificate of achievement.

Fire Safety

This classroom session explores the causes of fire and the controls that can be implemented to reduce the risk of fire in the workplace. The course challenges delegates to look at their activities and behaviours in respect of fire safety.

At the end of the course delegates sit a multi-choice question paper to test their knowledge and are provided with a simple workbook to be completed back in the workplace to ensure their learning is put into practice. Successful candidates will each receive a certificate of achievement.

Managing Workplace Risk

This course looks closely at how risk can increase in an organisation with complacency. Delegates are encouraged to identify what works well in the business and where there are opportunities for improvement. Good practice is re-enforced and issues are examined to develop solutions that can be taken back into the workplace.

Delegates complete a multi-choice question paper at the end of their course to assess their knowledge and understanding and are offered a simple workbook that is completed back in the workplace help to them implement initiatives to reduce the risk of workplace incidents. Candidates who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of achievement.

Abrasive Wheels

This training course combines classroom and practical learning to provide invaluable knowledge into the selection, inspection and use of abrasive wheels and will help with the following:

  • Providing abrasive wheel users with invaluable knowledge and understanding;
  • Reduce breakages and damages to abrasive wheel equipment;
  • Improve the quality of what you are cutting/making;
  • Reduce the likelihood of an accident occurring;
  • Demonstrate your company complies with relevant legislation.

At the end of the training course, participants complete a multi-choice question paper and receive a simple workbook that is completed back in the workplace to ensure their knowledge is applied and your staff are aware of the risks at all times.
