IMG become one of the first providers of IOSH Leading Safely

IMG are pleased to announce that they have been accredited to deliver the New IOSH Leading Safely qualification.

The training programme is being integrated into their Leading Health and Safety at Work training programme that has been designed to challenge senior directors to improve health and safety and business performance amongst all personnel on site.

New health and safety sentencing guidelines

In February 2015, the Sentencing Council’s consultation on proposed changes to the sentencing guidelines for health and safety, corporate manslaughter and food safety offences closed. It is anticipated that their proposals will come into force in late 2015.

New CDM Regs for 2015 which may affect you

One important piece of information is about the new Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM Regs) which come into force on 6 April 2015 and apply to all building and construction projects, regardless of the size, duration and nature of the work. There are separate industry guidance documents available for clients, contractors, designers, principal contractors, principal designers and workers, if you’d like a copy of any or all of them please let me know and I’ll email you a copy as a PDF.


IMG Awarded IOSH Directing Safely Licence

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health have awarded Influential Management Group a licence to deliver the IOSH Directing Safely training programme, which focuses on helping business leaders to understand their responsibilities, set direction for their business, giving them improved capability and better performance in personal as well as organisational terms.

The finals night for the Peterborough District Young Entprise Company Programme was held at Peterborough School on 2nd April. It is with great pleasure that we can announce that our supported company "Vintage Vinlys" won the environment award and their Managing Director Joe Sheffield won the entrepreneur award. Dragons Den Update: Colin Nottage invests in Vintage Vinyls and AME

IMG are pleased to announce that Colin Nottge has invested into Vintage Vinyls and AME at the recent Young Enterprise Dragons Den.

Colin said 'I was extremely impressed with all the groups that came to present their ideas. Their enthusiasm is infectious and I hope to learn from the guys as well as give them beneft of my experience.'

Vintage Vinyls are working on gifts from old vinyl records using state of the art cutting equipment. AME have some great plans for developing seasonal gift boxes for men and women.


Health and Safety Executive updates guidance on COSHH and DSEAR with revisions to ACOPs

INFORMATION on controlling substances that are hazardous to the health of workers has been updated to help businesses comply with legal requirements.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has revised its Approved Code of Practice to clarify and simplify practical advice to help duty-holders comply with the requirements of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
